Everyone keeps telling me an AI is going to take my software job. I write internal CRUD apps for a mid-size logistics company. Should I be panicking, retraining, or drinking?

The order is: drinking, then not panicking, then maybe a little retraining once the drink wears off. Here's the secret nobody monetizing your fear will tell you: an AI can write the CRUD app. It cannot sit in a room with Brenda from operations while she insists the "submit" button must be teal, then changes her mind four times, then denies ever wanting teal.
Your job was never the code. Your job is being the human firewall between a database and the beautiful chaos of people who do not know what they want but will know it when they don't see it. That is not automatable, it's barely survivable. Learn the new tools so you're the one holding them instead of being measured against them, then go home. You're fine. Brenda will see to that.
